I'm inkluded in the Photokina in Cologne, Germany to help "articulate
'The Future of Analog Photography in the Digital Age' via a slamming and enormous Lomographic exhibition."
The image below is not the one chosen for the show, in fact, I may never know what was chosen. I just thought this post needed a photo, so I'd end it with a bit of recently conjured all-analog magic.

Today's headline, leading up to the 5th Anniversary of 9/11:
NYC Unveils 9/11 Memorial HoleJust in case you thought nobody was paying attention to our blundering, blubbering Nagin.

I believe I took these with the Baldamatic, and I'm not crazy about the lab scans, but I do like the graininess and the creaminess in tonality. I'm also not crazy about
Lakeside cutting my pano negatives in half, or about them cropping out a third of the frame when they scan them for me. Cutting corners is just that, so if you want it done right, you have to do it yourself. That means a very large chunk of the
Horizon shots I've uploaded this summer are incomplete, and I'll have to rescan them to find out what we're missing out on.
Lakeside is better now that its back, but I'm still disappointed:
- I'm in the computer twice, and even when I spell out my name, some of the people there don't pay attention (yes, short-haired woman, I will not let you help me in the future, even if it means I have to come back another day) and I don't get my Lakeside bucks
- The scanning, cropping problem I mentioned
- No more bargain bin film
- Why didn't y'all fix that silly parking lot? I guess they're all bad in that neighborhood... Frosty's Cafe comes to mind
- You can't even send off my 110 film carts
- You charge per image instead of per roll to scan my 120 negatives to disc, and they would probably be cropped funny anyway
