Take postsecret... turn it into lolcatz... and you get...

Hilarity!

What? We just dodged an underwhelming bullet of a 'tropical disturbance...' which is fairly easy when the gun was never pointed at you and it was actually a finger ready to flick a rubber band. Hey, at least I don't have to go to work at 4AM on a Saturday morning for 30 mph winds and a couple inches of rain because that's the first thing people are going to do when a storm is in the Gulf. Such is life!

Due to peals of laughter...

I read the news today, oh boy...

Well, that was a bit of an out of body experience, considering my current day job as a television news producer.

I never intended this to be a news blog, since that's my "day job," but this is certainly worth updating.

ABC26 News "We've Got New Orleans" is now officially broadcasting from Fauxburg Metairie. Whoo-hoo! The President of Tribune Broadcasting even joined us for the soiree.

Even though I had to work to produce an actual newscast while everyone paraded by with cocktails, I went home with a few bottles of red, and sipped a glass of white while running playing pinch teleprompter.

Help them keep our gret stet from looking like a buncha racist neanderthals. I'm buying a "Kanye was right" t-shirt when they go on sale September 14th. Justice for the Jena 6!

Johnny Vidacovich vs. Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey... and Big Sam at d.b.a. Hey, it only becomes more than a duo when George Junior joins... to form The Trio. Put Johnny with any number of folks other than Porter and he makes up for more than half, hence always a Duo, unless its The Trio... or Astral Project. Dig?

John, just John tonight
Spindly buddha sits, watches
Then intense, crashes

Did I mention this was a free show? Yeah, really. Just another reason why I'm still lovin' livin' in New Orleans... and Faubourg Marigny in particular.

My photo of Tracy and Seth at ACL Fest is the logo graphic for KUT's coverage of this year's fest! I'm told other photos of mine will be featured in the main site's headline banner this weekend, so be sure to visit and see.
