Sure wish I didn't have to work this Thursday. The utterly legendary McCoy Tyner is playing with his trio in at the CAC.
Tyner is a former member of the John Coltrane Quartet, Septet and Orchestra, and is responsible for much of the cream of the jazz and hardbop crop in the 60's.

to mention a few of my favorites with the Trane. You're doing yourself a disservice if you haven't heard the amazing "Afro-Blue" on the Birdland album. Check the discog link on the name above for the mother lode.
